Amilcar was a French car manufacturer active from 1921 to 1939. It was founded under the name of Société Nouvelle pour l'Automobile Amilcar. The name Amilcar derives from the fusion and anagram of the surnames of the two main founders, Joseph Lamy and Emile Akar. The headquarters of Amilcar were immediately established in Saint-Denis. The first car proposed was the CC in 1922, a small car classifiable as a cycle-car, a car that met with some success, above all thanks to its sporting skills that allowed it to shine in various competitions and to make the brand known to the public. that of the Amilcars began to appreciate the excellent quality / price ratio.
