Pirelli & C. S.p.A. is a multinational based in Italy, which operates in the automotive sector as a manufacturer of tires for cars, motorcycles and bicycles. The "Pirelli & C." was founded in Milan in 1872 by the engineer Giovanni Battista Pirelli, to produce "technical articles" of vulcanized rubber. Basically it consisted of rubberized canvases, transmission belts, sleeves and rubber fittings.
