#TourDeCorse

The Tour de Corse is a rally first held in 1956 on the island of Corsica. Its name originally referred to the early format of the event, which followed a route around the island, while later editions concentrated on selected special stages across the island’s mountainous road network. Known for decades as the French round of the World Rally Championship, it was part of the WRC from the series’ inaugural 1973 season until 2008, and returned to the championship calendar from 2015 to 2019, after a period that included appearances in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. Run entirely on asphalt roads, the Tour de Corse became famous for its narrow, twisting mountain stages, abrupt changes of rhythm and relentless sequence of corners, earning the nickname “The Rally of 10,000 Turns”. This combination of speed, precision and endurance made it one of the most technically demanding and distinctive events in international rallying.
