TAG relating to cars powered by Diesel engines. Patented in 1892 by Rudolf Diesel, it is a type of alternative internal combustion engine, originally powered by vegetable oil and today by diesel fuel, which exploits the principle of compression to obtain the ignition of the fuel spontaneously, therefore not through action of the spark plugs, used instead by the spark ignition engine.
