#TargaPuglia

Even Puglia in the thirties, like the whole south cut off from the great industrialization of the north, felt the need to compete with the best known Italian car races, also taking advantage of the presence of the Lavante Fair. Thus in 1931 with the collaboration of all the Auto Clubs of the region, the 1st Targa Puglia was born, a speed race on roads closed to traffic. Starting at the first light of dawn from Foggia, the participants would have reached Bari, Taranto, Lecce and Brindisi to arrive again on the Bari seafront after a gallop of 700 km. The Targa Puglia was none other than the new denomination of the Araldo Di Crollalanza Cup, an event that had affected the area for several years and of which the Targa Puglia, expanded and improved, would have been its continuity.

We'll tell the story of this event on the occasion of its anniversary or when it will reach a sufficient number of cars.
