#StoutFieldSportsCarRaces
The Stout Field Sports Car Races were SCCA regional events held on the converted airfield outside Indianapolis, combining the fast, open layout typical of mid-century airport circuits with the close-knit atmosphere of the Midwestern paddock. Privateers arrived with Jaguars, Porsches, MGs and locally built specials, tuning their cars in the open alongside mechanics and fellow drivers. With minimal facilities and a straightforward runway-based course, the meetings blended grassroots informality with genuine competition, becoming a meaningful gathering point for the region’s road-racing community and a proving ground for emerging talent in the expanding SCCA landscape.
We'll tell the story of this event on the occasion of its anniversary or when it will reach a sufficient number of cars.
