#StanleyNowak
Stanley Nowak was an American author, historian, and Ferrari enthusiast whose early documentation efforts helped shape the foundation of modern Ferrari collecting. Active primarily during the 1970s and 1980s, Nowak was among the first to publish detailed research on individual Ferrari models, chassis histories, and production data at a time when such information was scattered and often inaccessible. His best-known work, Ferrari Spyder California, published in 1990, provided a comprehensive registry of the 250 GT California Spyders built between 1957 and 1963, and was issued in three languages. He also contributed to broader publications such as Ferrari on the Road, co-authored with Rob de la Rive Box and Julian Macnamara, which chronicled Ferrari’s road-going production from 1947 through 1993. Beyond his publishing activity, Nowak was himself a collector and owned notable Ferraris. Through both his personal involvement and scholarly contributions, Stanley Nowak played a pioneering role in establishing the culture of research and documentation that underpins today’s Ferrari community.
We'll publish a biography on him on the occasion of his anniversary or when it will be reached a sufficient number of cars.
