#RACRally

The Rally of Great Britain, long known as the RAC Rally (Royal Automobile Club Rally) and later as Wales Rally GB, is the United Kingdom’s most important international rally event. First held in 1932, it developed from a road rally into one of Europe’s most prestigious and demanding competitions, renowned for its long routes, unpredictable weather and challenging forest stages. With the creation of the World Rally Championship in 1973, the event became one of the classic fixtures of the WRC calendar, attracting the world’s leading drivers, co-drivers and manufacturers. Traditionally associated with fast gravel roads, dense forests and difficult autumn conditions, especially in Wales, the rally became famous for rain, fog, mud and rapidly changing grip, making it one of the toughest and most celebrated events in rally history. During the late 1990s and early 2000s it was officially known as the Network Q Rally of Great Britain.
