Peter Sachs is a retired and accomplished American racing driver with a career spanning more than four decades. He successfully competed in SCCA, IMSA, USRRC, and later in vintage racing, earning recognition for both his consistency and enthusiasm across a wide variety of disciplines and eras. For a period, Sachs was active in the automobile business in the Boston area, combining his passion for cars with professional engagement. He later transitioned into finance, where he spent 37 years as an investment banker at Goldman, Sachs & Co., a role that shaped much of his professional life. Beyond racing and finance, Sachs is also a committed historian of motorsport. He currently oversees the Klemantaski Collection, one of the world’s most extensive and important archives of historical motorsport photography. Under his stewardship, the collection continues to serve as a vital visual record of racing’s golden age, reflecting his lifelong dedication to automotive history and preservation.
We'll publish a biography on him on the occasion of his anniversary or when it will be reached a sufficient number of cars.
