#PNF

The National Fascist Party (PNF) was the political party founded by Benito Mussolini in 1921 and became the ruling and only legal party in Italy from 1926 to 1943. It emerged from the Fasci Italiani di Combattimento and promoted extreme nationalism, authoritarianism, the cult of the leader, militarism, and anti-communism. During its rule, it suppressed opposition, controlled the press, organized mass propaganda, and later adopted racist and antisemitic policies, especially after aligning with Nazi Germany. The PNF was dissolved following Mussolini’s ousting in July 1943 and briefly replaced in the Italian Social Republic by the more radical Republican Fascist Party.
