Michele Alboreto (Milan, 23 December 1956 - Klettwitz, 25 April 2001) was an Italian racing driver. Formula 3 European champion in 1980, he spent a good part of his career in Formula 1, in which he won five Grands Prix and in which he came close to the world title in 1985. During his career in the top category he competed for teams such as Tyrrell, Ferrari, Arrows , Lola and Minardi. He is the last Italian to have won in Formula 1 with Ferrari and to compete for the Formula 1 drivers' championship with Ferrari.
