Martin John Brundle (born 1 June 1959 in King's Lynn) is a former British racing driver. He raced for most of his career in Formula 1, signaling himself as a constant presence for about a decade. Despite never having won a Grand Prix, he has raced for teams such as Benetton, McLaren, Ligier, Tyrrell, Brabham, Williams and Zakspeed. Brundle achieved his greatest successes in closed-wheel racing, winning the 1988 World Sports Car Championship and the 24 Hours of Daytona that same year, as well as the 1990 24 Hours of Le Mans. Following his retirement from Formula 1, he 1997 plays the role of television commentator of the Grands Prix, first for the British TV ITV, from 2009 to 2011 for the BBC and from 2012 for Sky Sports.
