Louis Carey Camilleri, born on January 13, 1955, in Alexandria, Egypt, is a Maltese business executive with a long career in multinational corporations. After earning a degree in economics and business administration from HEC Lausanne, he began his career at W. R. Grace and later joined Philip Morris, where he rose to become CEO of Philip Morris International from 2002 to 2013. He joined Ferrari’s board in 2015 and was appointed CEO of Ferrari S.p.A. in July 2018 following the passing of Sergio Marchionne. During his tenure, he oversaw record deliveries, the expansion of the model range, and the strategic positioning of the brand, including the launch of the Mission Winnow initiative. He resigned in December 2020 for personal reasons, following a serious case of COVID-19. A multilingual and cosmopolitan figure, Camilleri is known for his reserved but effective leadership style.
