#LawrencevilleAirfieldSportsCarRaces

The Lawrenceville Airfield Sports Car Races were part of the 1950s SCCA regional calendar, staged on the runways and perimeter roads of the Lawrenceville airfield. Typical of the post-war American trend of converting military or municipal airports into temporary circuits, the event featured fast, open sections and basic pit facilities, attracting competitive privateers from Georgia and the broader Southeast. Though modest in scale compared to national championship rounds, the Lawrenceville races formed an important stop for drivers seeking experience, points and visibility within the growing Southern sports-car scene.
