John Albert O'Steen (born March 1, 1944 in Cincinnati) is an American former racing driver. John O'Steen was active in North American sports car racing for three decades. His first start at the 24 Hours of Daytona ended in 1973 with eleventh place overall. In 2000 he drove this 24-hour race for the last time. Again he classified himself as 11th overall. In between there were many reports from the IMSA races. He was a longtime racing partner to Bob Akin, Dave Helmick and Hurley Haywood. He twice finished on the podium in the top three in the overall standings at the Sebring 12 Hours. He finished third with John Graves and Dave Helmig in 1975 and second with Akin and Dale Whittington in 1983.
