#JackHinkle

Jack Hinkle was a prominent American privateer racer and businessman from Wichita, Kansas, active throughout the 1950s SCCA scene. Known for his competitive spirit and mechanical sympathy, he campaigned a variety of high-performance European sports cars—including Ferrari, Jaguar and Maserati—earning a reputation as one of the quickest and most committed regional drivers of his era. Beyond his racing activity, Hinkle was a successful entrepreneur in Kansas, using his resources to maintain and develop a small but competitive stable of sports-racers. His period with the Ferrari 750 Monza, including solid results in Midwestern events such as Coffeyville, reflects his place in the network of dedicated privateers who helped shape American road-racing during its formative decades.
