#JackFairman

John Eric George “Jack” Fairman (1913–2002) was a prominent British race car driver and test engineer, active principally in the 1940s and 1950s. Known for his mechanical acumen and unflappable reliability, Fairman achieved success in sports car racing, endurance events and even appearances in Formula 1. He scored points in the 1956 F1 World Championship driving a Connaught-Type B, and later drove for teams including HWM, BRM and Cooper. His reputation as an exceptional test driver made him a trusted partner for developing works machines, while his steady racecraft and patience made him a favorite of constructors in endurance races.
