#HogaAldoHorvat

His name was Gianfranco Aldo Horvat, but if we take his initials we can form the pseudonym "Hoga" under which a talented Italian touring car driver competed in the second half of the 1960s. Born on August 29, 1942 in Padua, he always lived in Tuscany where his father founded a toy company, Horvat Giocattoli. At the age of twenty, Hoga began racing, soon becoming popular for his results and driving skills. He defends the colors of the Scuderia Biondetti of Florence and races in the Italian Touring Championship with a Giulia TI and a GTA. He achieved several class victories in the Touring Car races and also an overall, in the Fornaci-Barga hill climb. Gianfranco Aldo Horvat's career effectively ended in 1968 because he concentrated full time on his company, GiG, which produced toys and which in a few years acquired much notoriety, importing, for example, the Playmobil line and the first video games of the Nintendo.
