Hans Herrmann (born 1928) is a German former racing driver closely associated with Porsche’s early motorsport history. Active from the 1950s through the 1960s, he competed in Formula One and became a specialist in endurance racing, taking part in events such as the Mille Miglia, Targa Florio, Sebring, and Le Mans. Known for his bravery and consistency, Herrmann was one of Porsche’s key works drivers in its formative years, contributing to numerous class and overall victories. His career reached its peak in 1970, when he won the 24 Hours of Le Mans overall with Porsche, securing the marque’s first triumph in the legendary race.
