#FerrariMonzaSP1

The Ferrari Monza SP1 is a limited-edition single-seater sports car introduced in 2018 as part of Ferrari's Icona series, which pays homage to the brand's classic models with modern technology and design. Inspired by the 1950s barchettas, the SP1 features a minimalist design devoid of a traditional windshield, instead utilizing a patented Virtual Wind Shield to direct airflow over the driver. Built on the 812 Superfast platform, the SP1 is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine producing 810 horsepower, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and a top speed exceeding 300 km/h. The body is constructed entirely from carbon fiber. Ferrari produced a total of around 100 units of the Monza SP1 (and around 400 of its two-seater counterpart, the SP2), offering them exclusively to select clients. Each car was extensively customizable, with options including accessories crafted in collaboration with luxury brands like Loro Piana and Berluti. Some examples were delivered as bespoke one-offs, such as the "Tribute to Francesco Baracca" edition, featuring unique finishes and commemorative details. The design of the Monza SP1, led by Flavio Manzoni, received the prestigious Compasso d’Oro award in 2020, recognizing its excellence in industrial design.
