#EmanuelePirro
Emanuele Pirro (born 12 January 1962) is an Italian racing driver from Rome, active in Formula One, touring cars, prototypes and endurance racing. After serving as McLaren-Honda test driver, he raced in Formula One with Benetton and Scuderia Italia, but his greatest achievements came with covered-wheel cars. A factory BMW and later Audi driver, he won Italian and German touring-car titles, two American Le Mans Series championships, two 12 Hours of Sebring and five overall victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, including Audi’s first Le Mans win with the R8 in 2000 and the first diesel-powered victory with the R10 TDI in 2006. He later remained active in historic racing and as an FIA official/steward.
We'll publish a biography on him on the occasion of his anniversary or when it will be reached a sufficient number of cars.
