Edwin D. Martin was a prominent American privateer in the late 1950s, active across the Southern U.S. road-racing scene. Competing in SCCA and regional events, he drove and maintained a range of powerful European sports-racers, earning a reputation for consistency, mechanical sympathy and strong results at circuits such as Fort Pierce, Lawrenceville, the Virginia International Raceway, Galveston and the Bahamas Speed Weeks.
