#AzelioCappi

Azelio Cappi, known as the "bench" man because he tested Ferrari engines on the test bench from 1951 to 1971, also developed engines later at Lamborghini and Maserati, working closely with high-caliber engineers including Chiti, Bizzarrini, and Dallara, personally handling the tuning of the engines. In 1953, Cappi also participated as a co-driver in the legendary Targa Florio, alongside motorcycle champion Umberto Masetti, and in the Mille Miglia, with Mike Hawthorn, always driving Ferrari cars.
