Augusto Caraceni was born in Ortona (CH) in 1893 and together with his brothers learned the art of tailoring from their father Tommaso. When his older brother, Domenico, opens his own tailoring shop in Rome, he calls two of his brothers to work with him: Galliano and Augusto. In the 1930s Augusto became independent and moved first to Paris and in 1946 to Milan. He was also a talented gentleman driver.
