Amilcare Ballestrieri (born in Sanremo, 17 September 1935) is a former Italian motorcycle and car racer. He began his career on two wheels, racing at national level before moving into rallying in the 1960s. His greatest success came in 1973, when he won the Italian Rally Championship at the wheel of a Lancia Fulvia 1.6 HF, partnered by co-driver Silvio Maiga. Ballestrieri became one of the key figures of Italian rallying during that transitional period, competing against names such as Munari, Pinto, and Barbasio. In the newly created World Rally Championship, he entered ten events between 1973 and 1977, achieving a best overall result of 5th place. Known for his consistency and technical driving style, Ballestrieri helped consolidate Lancia’s presence in national rallying after the works Fulvia era.
