#ACF
The Automobile Club de France (ACF), founded in 1895, is the oldest automobile club in the world and a central institution in the history of motoring and motorsport. Based in Paris, the ACF was instrumental in the early development of the automobile and played a founding role in organizing the world’s first recognized motor race in 1895, followed by the first official Grand Prix in 1906. As the historical sanctioning body of the French Grand Prix—known until 1967 as the “Grand Prix de l’A.C.F.”—the club helped shape the early rules and traditions of international motor racing. Today, the ACF remains an exclusive society and a guardian of France’s automotive heritage, continuing to promote classic motoring culture, road safety, and engineering excellence. https://automobileclubdefrance.fr/
