The 10 Ore di Messina, also known as the 10 Ore Notturna Messinese, was a nighttime endurance sports car race held in Messina, Sicily, from 1952 to 1958. Organized by the Automobile Club d'Italia, the event was notable for its challenging urban circuit and nighttime setting. In 1956, due to logistical and safety concerns, the race duration was reduced to five hours, though it retained its original name. This edition saw Phil Hill secure victory driving a Ferrari 500 TR, completing 87 laps over a 6.7 km circuit. The race was not held in 1957. In 1958, the event moved to the Ganzirri Lake circuit, with Christian Heins and Paul-Ernst Strähle winning in a Porsche 550 RS. The 10 Ore di Messina remains a significant chapter in Italian motorsport history, reflecting the era's passion for endurance racing.
