AUTO E MOTO D’EPOCA 2025. In Bologna Classic Motoring Has Found Its Home
November 3, 2025
The 42nd edition of Auto e Moto d’Epoca closed with a highly positive outcome: strong attendance, encouraging sales and an atmosphere of enthusiasm confirming the vitality of the classic motoring world. BolognaFiere once again proved to be the only place in Europe where passion, culture and business meet in perfect balance.
Over four days, the event confirmed Bologna as Europe’s capital of classic motoring. Across 235,000 square meters and 14 halls, visitors, collectors and manufacturers came together in a vibrant celebration of heritage and innovation. Despite the uncertain global economy, the fair recorded excellent results and a growing number of younger enthusiasts, ensuring the future of the classic scene.
The market showed clear signs of recovery, with many cars sold and a new generation of buyers—aged between 30 and 50—looking for the dream cars of their youth. The motorcycle sector also performed strongly, driven by enduring interest in Italian classics and the sporty icons of the 1970s to 1990s.
Among the highlights, the exhibition marking 75 years of Formula 1 gathered 30 original single-seaters, while Honda presented 39 historic motorcycles under the “Honda Classic” banner, tracing over seven decades of engineering and racing excellence.
International media once again recognized Auto e Moto d’Epoca as “the most beautiful and complete classic motoring fair in Europe”, confirming Bologna’s role as the ideal home for this major celebration of automotive culture.
As has become tradition, several cars recognized as Automotive Masterpieces were among the highlights of this year’s edition:
– 1933 Alfa Romeo 8C 2600 Monza (Alfa Romeo) chassis no. 2211137
– 1952 Ermini Sport Internazionale (Carrozzeria Motto) chassis no. 055352
– 1954 Fiat 8V (Carrozzerie Speciali Lingotto) chassis no. 106000112
The latter changed ownership during the fair, passing from one collector to another—both clients of Automotive Masterpieces. This meaningful handover reflects the value of our research and documentation work: the car was presented with a comprehensive historical dossier created by Automotive Masterpieces, which the new owner intends to enrich and continue in the same spirit of accuracy and dedication. A fine testimony to the quality and lasting impact of our work.
