The research began with a meticulous study of the car’s identity, due to the many different names under which it has been described over time. Based on period sources, technical analysis and historical developments, we have adopted what we believe to be the most accurate and appropriate denomination for this specific example.

The list of races attributed to the car has been verified, confirming the absence of the passenger-side door as a distinctive feature. In our view, this is a unique example, contrary to what is stated in some sources.

A detailed historical reconstruction has been carried out, including ownership chronology, race entries and appearances, and relevant literature. Numerous new images have been located, coming from professional archives or extracted from period footage, often unpublished and in high definition. For each competition, available photographic and documentary material has been reviewed, with particular attention to provenance and reproduction quality. Several artifacts, such as entry forms, official rankings, medals and rare publications, have also been identified and proposed to enrich the historical record. Bibliographic references have been collected to support and expand the existing material.
