STARTING POINT
The history of the car, including its distinguished ownership by one of the Mille Miglia founders, Count Franco Mazzotti, and its license plate BS 15073, was already known, as well as its discovery in Uruguay and its Argentine provenance.
RESEARCH
The research first led to the discovery of two exceptional images taken by Corrado Millanta in June 1940. These images revealed many unique details of the car, such as the Mille Miglia badge, the wheel covers, the three moldings on each side under the front lights, the special Alfa Romeo badge from that period, and the pinstriping on the body sides. Thanks to these images, the owner was able to carry out a historically accurate restoration, preserving the car's uniqueness. The research also clarified the correct sequence of ownership, including other distinguished owners such as Niccolò Lana, as well as new images, information, and documents from the car's time in Uruguay and Argentina.
