ORIGINAL BODY & MILLE MIGLIA ATTRIBUTION

STARTING POINT
It was believed that the 1948 Fiat 1100 S Stanguellini (Carrozzeria Motto), chassis no. 1100S*500053*, had already participated in its first Mille Miglia with the current Motto bodywork.
RESEARCH
Careful research and the discovery in the archives of images of the time made it possible to ascertain that the car took part in its first Mille Miglia, in 1951, with the original "gobbone" bodywork and, only later, in its second Mille Miglia, in 1952, the car wore the second rounded body by Motto.
