Improvement definitely gets harder in the higher grades, but I honestly found that the v4 and v6/7 plateaus held me back the most. Something helpful for me is repeating boulders in different ways, always climbing down if possible to get more practice in , not looking at grades and just trying out routes that seem "way beyond what I can do".
