#RCKMoney

Rowland Cyril Kyrle Money aka RCK Money (or R.C.K. Money) was born on 4th July 1915. His father was Colonel Money and he became a Major in the Royal Engineers. With his MG he won the Stanley Cup Competition on June 19th 1937 - a scratch race, at Donington Park organized by the Frazer Nash CC. He also seems to have had success in what seems likely to have been a CSMA Trial in 1939. Mr. Money entered his MG in both the 1946 and 1947 Brighton Speed Trials in each case entered in the "1100cc Racing" Class. By that time he was entered as Major R C K Money.
He was posted to various places including Egypt in early 1950s - because of rioting in the Canal Zone. He was later based at the Strensell army camp outside York. Later he went to Rheindahlen in Germany. He had six children - one of them born in Egypt and another in York. A daughter, Lucy, was born in 1949 at the army camp at Upnor, Kent in the double decker bus he had converted into a home.
Her late husband was Piero Pesaro and he specialised in repairing Alfa Romeos in London. He also raced them. After his retirement, Money ran a car hire business. He died in 2010 at the age of 95.

We'll publish a biography on him on the occasion of his anniversary or when it will be reached a sufficient number of cars.
