From 1931 to 1960 there have been ten editions of the Coppa dei Tre Laghi and Varese - Campo dei Fiori with professional drivers and official houses. Hillclimb after the war, while the first editions of the thirties were mostly "walkway-aperitif" called the Three Lakes Cup. Both the limitation of the road caliber and the speed in continuous elevation advised the organizers of ACI Varese to stop its speeding.
