#AutoAvioCostruzioni

Auto Avio Costruzioni (AAC) was an Italian car manufacturer, founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1939, in Modena as the direct progenitor of the prestigious Ferrari brand. After spending almost 20 years at Alfa Romeo, Enzo Ferrari abandoned the Casa del Portello in 1939, due to strong conflicts with the new technical director Wifredo Ricart. On that occasion, Ferrari signed an agreement, which prevented him from undertaking any type of competitive activity with the Scuderia brand for 5 years; but, thanks to the money collected as a liquidation by Alfa Romeo, he founded a new company in Modena on 1 September 1939, called Auto Avio Costruzioni. With this brand Ferrari built the following year, for the Mille Miglia, a car, called Auto Avio Costruzioni 815 (or Tipo 815).
