Kirk Douglas, born Issur Danielovitch and also known as Isadore Demsky (Amsterdam, December 9, 1916 - Beverly Hills, February 5, 2020), was an American film actor and producer. Father of actor Michael Douglas and producers Joel Douglas and Peter Douglas, as well as Cameron Douglas's grandfather, in 1999 the American Film Institute ranked him 17th among the greatest stars in American film history.
